Police involved in demonstration at Iranian embassy, Sweden

The photo is not from Sweden, but from the fire bomb attack on the Swiss embassy the same day. This event could be a psy op or "false flag operation" perpetrated by an Ahmadinejad loyalist to make the opposition supporters in Europe look bad.
A demonstration at the Iranian Embassy in Stockholm has degenerated.

The police was outnumbered - and had to call for backup.

"They seem to have stirred up each other and tried to enter the embassy area," says Janne Hedlund at the Stockholm police.

The demonstration at the Iranian Embassy started out more peacefully.

One hour into the demonstration the police had no indication of disturbances, said the police command center.

At 16.30 o'clock the situation had become more serious.

Then the protests, with hundreds of demonstrators on the spot, got out of control.

The police at a disadvantage

The single police unit on the ground ended up at a disadvantage when they tried to prevent stone-throwing demonstrators from entering the embassy area.

The unit quickly called in for backup.

- When police are at a disadvantage, and screaming "outnumbered", then it's serious, "says Janne Hedlund, management officer at the police.

A large reinforcement was sent to the spot. Shortly before 17 o'clock, there were around 20 police patrols in the area.
